Emotional Freedom Techniques
EFT - Tapping
What is EFT and how can it help you?
Welcome to my EFT sanctuary. Since becoming an EFT practitioner, I have been completely bowled over by the power of Emotional Freedom Techniques, also known as tapping or psychological acupressure. Developed by Gary Craig in the 1990s, EFT is an alternative approach to alleviating physical pain and emotional distress by tapping into the body's energy system - the meridian points.
At the core of EFT philosophy is the belief that tapping specific points on the body can restore balance to our energy, addressing the root cause of negative emotions and pain and releasing it with ease.
Even though EFT is a very gentle therapy it is very effective. Using EFT techniques I can assist individuals dealing with the following:
Stress and Anxiety: Tapping is commonly used to alleviate stress and anxiety by helping to calm the nervous system and reduce the emotional charge associated with certain thoughts or situations.
Trauma and PTSD: EFT has been explored as a complementary approach for individuals dealing with trauma or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It aims to help release emotional distress related to traumatic experiences.
Phobias and Fears: Tapping can be applied to address specific fears and phobias by disrupting the negative thought patterns associated with them.
Pain Management: EFT tapping can be used to manage physical pain or discomfort. It works by addressing emotional aspects associated with pain.
Weight Management: Tapping can be used as a tool for weight management by addressing emotional eating patterns and reducing cravings.
Performance Improvement: Athletes, performers, and individuals facing public speaking or performance anxiety may use tapping to manage stress and enhance performance.
Sleep Issues: Tapping is employed to address insomnia or other sleep-related problems by reducing anxiety and promoting relaxation.
Self-Esteem and Confidence: Tapping can be utilized to address issues related to self-esteem, self-worth, and confidence by focusing on positive affirmations and releasing negative beliefs.
Depression: While not a substitute for professional mental health treatment, tapping can be used as a complementary approach to manage symptoms of depression by addressing underlying emotional issues.
Addictions: Smoking for example.
I also use EFT alongside mindset coaching and manifesting as it’s a great way to uncover any energy blocks that may be holding you back and getting in the way of your manifestations and life vision.
Here, I invite you to embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing through the gentle yet profound practice of EFT tapping. Join me in unlocking the potential for emotional well-being and physical harmony, as we navigate the fascinating intersections of mind, body, and energy.
Free Yourself From Fears, Phobias and Trauma
In today's psychology focus, we often forget how our thoughts and feelings are linked to our bodies. Everything we go through, from a morning argument to a warm hug, affects our nervous system. This constant interaction greatly impacts our well-being and can swiftly change how we feel.
As we go through life we have learned to bury pain and trauma. Eventually, it will show up in the body as pain, fear, phobias, illness both mental and physical, and energy blocks, stopping you from living a life of ease and joy.
That's where Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) tapping comes in. It's like a reset button for our nervous system, bringing a deep sense of calm. My clients love it because it is very effective, lasts, and is affordable. You can use it alone or alongside mindset coaching sessions.
Following a complimentary consultation, we can pinpoint where to begin. Consider one of my clients who, after one session, overcame a fear of flying, embracing a joyful holiday experience. Results vary based on individual experiences and trauma levels connected to the issue.
For another client grappling with anxiety and OCD, three sessions led to the desired outcome. PTSD and extreme traumatic events could take longer as there are many layers to uncover and release. Every person is unique, and each case is distinct. The journey to finding release and ease, that sweet spot, is different for everyone. It's about discovering when you've reached that transformative moment tailored to your needs.
A Gentle Therapy
Some traumas and past experiences can be incredibly challenging to confront, and this is where the effectiveness of EFT truly shines. I've had the privilege of working with clients who initially found it too difficult to even discuss their trauma openly. Unlike some therapies, EFT doesn't require you to delve into the painful details or revisit the past right away. We approach the issue from a distance, ensuring you're always in control of the process.
In fact, you can begin sessions simply by tapping, without needing to say a word, and still experience a calming effect. Gradually, over a few sessions, you might discover the ability to talk openly about past traumas without attaching overwhelming emotions to them. The ultimate goal is to release the blocked energy and trauma, liberating you to move forward unburdened by the past.
As we work together, the aim is to create a new path, one that is free from the weight of trauma and pain, allowing you to embrace a future unencumbered by past struggles.
